CASA MONTEMURO/MONTEMURO HOUSE
These tile artworks are part of a project by Paulo Moreira Architectures to refurbish a small traditional house in a village in the Serra de Montemuro: a main panel in front of the stairs, two coordinated sets of tiles for the kitchens, and two small panels for the bathrooms.
The request was for blue and green colors and for non-figurative motifs. Due to the client's connection to the sea, this influence was brought to the mountains through the colors and shapes. The design was inspired by the marks left by waves on the sand.
